Briggs Review of Civil Courts Structure
In reply to the request for comment on the Interim Report of the Briggs LJ review of the Civil Courts Structure, HLPA submitted a further detailed response on the specific issues raised for housing law. The response can be downloaded here. HLPA had previously offered more general views in response to a request for informal consultation.
Lord Briggs has expressed an interest in a further discussion of issues around the review of the civil courts structure with HLPA.
Evidence to CLG Select Committee
The Commons Communities and Local Government Select Committee has begun an inquiry on homelessness. HLPA submitted written evidence, which can be found here. Oral evidence has yet to be called.

The positions of HLPA Chair and Vice-Chair together with three places on the Executive Committee will become vacant in March 2016. Members are therefore now invited to put themselves forward as candidates for Chair and Vice-Chair for a two-year term of office and for the Executive Committee for a three-year term of office.
